Welcome to What the World Eats

Hello fellow food lovers!
I’m thrilled to welcome you to my new website. After months of chopping, simmering, and carefully plating ideas, I’m ready to serve you something special.
A Fresh Approach to World Cuisines
Have you ever wondered how Thai spices compare to Mexican ones? Or why certain ingredients appear in both Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking? I certainly have, and that’s why I’ve reimagined how to present world cuisines.
“What the World Eats” brings global food traditions together in a single, easy-to-digest format through simple infographics. Now you can explore, compare, and understand any world cuisine side by side with another – seeing connections and differences that might otherwise remain hidden beneath layers of history and geography.
What’s Cooking?
I’m carefully adding country profiles one at a time, ensuring each cuisine gets the thoughtful attention it deserves. Currently on the menu:
- Southern Mediterranean cuisines: Spain, Italy, Portugal, Malta
- Eastern Mediterranean: Lebanon, Turkey, Israel, Egypt
- North African flavors: Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya
- Central and South American Andean spices with Mexico and Peru
- Caucasus with Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan
- ..with many more cuisines coming soon to be plated.
For the ones that are still pending, check out their staple ingredients and flavors and compare them with any world cuisine you like!
